Important new study by Cambridge University on portfolio value at risk

Climate disruption

Equity portfolios may lose as much as 45 percent of their value due to shifting investor sentiment about climate change, according to a report by Cambridge University’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership.

Howard Covington has welcomed the report:  “According to the report large portfolio losses would occur if investors were to adopt the view that growth may soon fall significantly below expectations because of future climate damage. This is another timely warning to investors of the systemic climate risk building in their portfolios.”
