Who are the 50 biggest institutional investors in the world?

Institutions, Forceful stewardship

Here’s a list of the top 50 institutional investors today.  Our thanks to IPE for the data.

Did you know that 8 of the 10 biggest investors are fund managers headquartered in the USA?

And according to the CFA, investment professionals in the USA are amongst the least well informed about climate risk.

Asset owners who seek to be “climate aware risk takers” – let alone those who want to “future makers” – and who are clients of these fund managers clearly have a major opportunity, and responsibility, to act.

Only with enhanced collaboration with other like-minded asset owners – and with a clear commitment to being forceful stewards – will these asset owners rise to the challenge of managing climate-related systemic risk.
